Community Learning Program
Version 1.4 — Effective June 1, 2026
Community Learning Program
Effective Date: 2026-06-01 Last Updated: 2026-06-01
What is the Community Learning Program
The TappHQ Community Learning Program allows participating organizations to contribute anonymized patterns from AI-generated content to improve the quality of AI recommendations, grant writing suggestions, and content generation for all TappHQ users. By pooling anonymized insights from how nonprofits use AI features, TappHQ can strengthen its models and deliver better results for every organization on the platform.
Participation is entirely voluntary and can be changed at any time.
What Data is Included
When you opt in, the following types of AI-generated content patterns may be contributed:
- Grant language patterns and writing structures
- Brand voice characteristics and tone analysis
- Agent workflow structures and configurations
- AI readiness assessment patterns
- Job description structures and formatting
- Accessibility remediation fix patterns
- Timeline narrative structures
Only patterns derived from AI-generated outputs are included. The original content is never shared.
What Data is Excluded
The following data is never included in the Community Learning Program, regardless of your participation status:
- Organization names, identifiers, and EINs
- Financial figures, account numbers, and budget data
- Employee names, personal information, and contact details
- Uploaded documents in their original form
- Credential Vault contents (API keys, tokens, passwords)
- Billing and payment information
- Authentication credentials and session data
- Email addresses and phone numbers
- Donor names and contribution amounts
How Data is Anonymized
All data goes through a two-stage anonymization process before it can be used:
Stage 1 — AI-powered redaction. An automated pipeline scans each content item and removes named entities (organization names, people, locations), generalizes financial figures to ranges, shifts specific dates to relative timeframes, and replaces organization-specific references with generic placeholders.
Stage 2 — Human review. Every item that passes automated redaction is reviewed by a member of the TappHQ team before it enters the training corpus. Items that contain any identifiable information are rejected and deleted.
No content is used without passing both stages.
How to Opt Out
You can change your Community Learning preference at any time:
- Go to Settings > Legal & Privacy
- Find the Community Learning card
- Toggle the switch off
When you opt out:
- New data immediately stops being queued for review
- Pending (unreviewed) items are deleted within 24 hours
- Already-approved anonymized patterns are retained per the retention policy below
Data Retention
- Approved anonymized patterns are retained indefinitely as part of the aggregate training corpus. Because these patterns have been fully anonymized and cannot be traced back to any individual organization, they are treated as non-personal aggregate data.
- Rejected candidates (items that failed human review) are deleted within 90 days of rejection.
- Pending candidates (items awaiting review) are deleted immediately when you opt out, or within 90 days if never reviewed.
Your Rights
Your participation in the Community Learning Program does not affect your existing data rights. You can:
- Request deletion of all training data contributions via Settings > Legal & Privacy > Data Subject Requests
- Export your data including your Community Learning participation history
- Access your consent audit log to see when and how your preference was changed
Limitation of Liability
Community learning data is provided to improve TappHQ's platform-wide recommendations and AI capabilities. TappHQ does not verify, endorse, or warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any AI-generated output derived from community learning data, whether delivered as recommendations, drafted content, assessments, or any other format.
Organizations are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving all AI-generated content before use in grant applications, public communications, regulatory filings, employment decisions, financial reporting, or any other context where accuracy and compliance are required. AI-generated outputs are advisory tools, not professional advice.
TappHQ is not liable for any loss, claim, damage, or regulatory action arising from an organization's reliance on AI-generated content, including content informed by anonymized community learning patterns. By opting in to the Community Learning Program, you acknowledge that your contributed data (after anonymization) may inform outputs delivered to other organizations, and that TappHQ bears no responsibility for how those organizations use such outputs.
