Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to provide information to website operators, and to enable certain features. Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, and JavaScript SDKs — serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies We Use

The following table describes the cookies and similar technologies used by TappHQ:

3. Managing Your Preferences

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through:

  • Cookie Preferences panel: Accessible from the cookie consent banner displayed on your first visit.
  • Settings page: Navigate to Settings → Privacy to update your preferences.
  • Footer link: A "Cookie Preferences" link is available in the Platform footer on all pages.

Changes to your preferences take effect immediately. If you opt out of PostHog analytics, tracking ceases immediately and no further analytics data will be collected from your session.

You may also manage cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling strictly necessary cookies may impair Platform functionality, including authentication and payment processing.

4. Jurisdiction-Specific Information

4.1 European Union / European Economic Area / United Kingdom

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies are placed without consent as they are essential for Platform operation. Analytics cookies (PostHog) require your affirmative opt-in consent before they are activated. Consent is collected via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit. You may withdraw consent at any time through the Cookie Preferences panel.

4.2 California

In accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), we provide notice of cookie usage and the ability to opt out of analytics tracking. PostHog analytics data is not sold. You may opt out of analytics via the Cookie Preferences panel or by using the "Do Not Sell or Share" link in Platform settings.

4.3 Other Jurisdictions

For users in other jurisdictions, we provide appropriate notice of cookie usage consistent with applicable local requirements. Where no specific cookie regulation applies, we provide the same notice and opt-out mechanisms described above as a matter of best practice.

5. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our cookie usage changes. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform's cookie consent banner or by email. The effective date of the current version is indicated at the top of this document.
