Automated VPAT Reports for Your Website
Generate procurement-ready VPAT/ACR reports from your real accessibility scan data. ITI VPAT 2.5 WCAG edition with 50 success criteria rows, downloadable as DOCX.
What Is a VPAT?
A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is a standardized document that explains how a digital product conforms to accessibility standards. Government agencies, universities, and large organizations require VPATs during procurement to verify Section 508 and WCAG compliance.
The resulting Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) is what buyers actually review. If your nonprofit provides software, websites, or digital services to government or institutional clients, you need a VPAT.
How It Works
Scan Your Site
Start from a website TappHQ monitors and run an accessibility scan. Our scanner evaluates the site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria using industry-standard automated checks plus custom rules.
Assess Conformance
We map your scan results to all 50 WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria. Each criterion is classified as Supports, Partially Supports, Does Not Support, or Not Evaluated.

Sample VPAT Excerpt
Here is what the generated table looks like. Every report carries all 50 WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA rows; these five show the range of conformance levels and the remark detail pulled from your scan data.
| Success Criterion | Level | Conformance Level | Remarks and Explanations |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.1.1 Non-text Content | A | Supports | Automated scan of 24 pages found no images missing alternative text. Decorative images use empty alt attributes. |
| 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) | AA | Partially Supports | Two moderate contrast issues detected in footer link text (3.9:1 against the dark panel). All other text meets 4.5:1. |
| 2.1.1 Keyboard | A | Does Not Support | The donation amount stepper is operable by pointer only. Serious severity; remediation required before this row can move to Supports. |
| 2.4.7 Focus Visible | AA | Supports | All interactive controls render a visible focus ring in the automated keyboard traversal. |
| 1.2.4 Captions (Live) | AA | Not Evaluated | No live media detected on the scanned pages. Requires manual review before a determination can be published. |
Coverage & Limitations
Automated accessibility testing reliably evaluates approximately 30 of the 50 WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA success criteria. These cover structural, programmatic, and visual compliance aspects like alt text, contrast ratios, keyboard accessibility, and ARIA roles.
The remaining criteria - such as reading order, focus appearance nuances, content timing, and cognitive load - require human judgment and are marked "Not Evaluated" with an explanation of what manual review would entail. This is standard practice for automated VPAT generation and is disclosed in the document.
A TappHQ VPAT is not a substitute for a full manual accessibility audit. It provides a strong starting point and covers the criteria that automated testing can reliably assess.
Pricing
Consultant-prepared VPATs typically cost $3,000 to $10,000. TappHQ generates yours from real scan data in under a minute for a fraction of the cost.
